Deck & Fence Staining That Stands Up to Colorado
Your deck and fence take the full force of UV, snow load and freeze-thaw. We clean, prep and stain them with products built to protect the wood and keep it looking rich.
What's included
- Cleaning and brightening of weathered wood
- Sanding of rough, splintered and failed areas
- Minor board, railing and fastener repair
- Masking and protection of siding, plants and hardware
- Premium penetrating stain in your chosen opacity
- Even application across decking, rails, steps and fence panels
Exterior wood is the first thing the Colorado climate destroys. Decks bake under intense high-altitude UV all summer, then sit under snow all winter, and fences face the same cycle with even less attention. Without proper staining, that wood greys, cracks and rots.
We bring decks and fences back to life: cleaning and brightening the wood, sanding rough and failed areas, addressing minor repairs, and applying premium penetrating stains that protect against UV and moisture while showing off the grain.
Our process
How we handle your deck & fence project
- 1
Free estimate & stain consult
Day 1We assess the wood and exposure, talk through stain type and color, and send a clear written scope and price.
- 2
Clean & strip
We wash the wood and remove failed stain, graying and mildew so the new finish soaks in and bonds evenly.
- 3
Sand & prep
We sand rough and splintered areas, reset popped fasteners, and handle minor board-level prep for a smooth, safe surface.
- 4
Dry to the right moisture
Wood has to be dry before stain goes on. We let it reach the right moisture window so the finish holds instead of peeling.
- 5
Apply premium stain or sealer
We apply a premium penetrating stain or sealer chosen for Colorado UV and freeze-thaw, worked into the grain for even protection.
- 6
Cleanup & final walkthrough
We clean the site, walk the finished deck or fence with you, and back the work with a written workmanship warranty.
- End of the Deck & Fence Staining process.
Why it lasts
Good deck & fence work is mostly preparation
- Clean, sound surfaces before any paint, so the coating actually bonds
- Repairs and patching handled first, not painted over
- Primed where it counts so the finish holds and lasts
- Your home protected and the site left clean every day

FAQ
Deck & Fence Staining questions
How often should I re-stain my deck in Colorado?
Because of the intense UV and freeze-thaw here, horizontal deck surfaces typically need re-staining every 2–3 years, while vertical fences last longer. Proper prep at each interval keeps the wood protected and the color consistent.
Can you fix a deck that has already greyed or is peeling?
Yes. Greying is surface oxidation we clean and brighten, and peeling stain is removed during prep. Once the wood is sound and properly prepped, a new stain bonds and protects as it should.
Should I choose transparent, semi-transparent or solid stain?
It is a trade-off between showing the grain and maximizing protection. Solid stains last longest and hide age but obscure the grain; transparent and semi-transparent show the wood but need more frequent reapplication. We will recommend based on your wood and goals.
